~~ FALL BARBECUE WITH A WESTERN FLAVOR ~~

FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER  TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 12

The Bishop Union High School Foundation for Excellence is inviting everyone to come on out for a fabulous fall barbecue and "Entertainment with a Western Flavor."

This year the Foundation's annual fall fundraising dinner will be held once again at Roxanne Tallman's Hidden Creeks Ranch, on Saturday September 12.

The Social Hour for what promises to be a very fun evening, is scheduled to kick-off at 5:00 with live music and an equestrian demonstration.

The "grilled to perfection" barbecue will be done by none-other-than George Milovich and the infamous Chitty Chitty Bang Bang crew, with all the fixings being prepared by a number of local restaurants and individuals.  Dinner will be served starting at 6:00.

Immediately following the dinner Curt Van Nest will be the Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer for a great live auction featuring a huge variety of fabulous items generously donated by businesses and individuals throughout the Eastern Sierra. Numerous items will also be auctioned off through a silent auction.

Since the Foundation for Excellence was established by local business owners in 1985, over $400,000 has been raised to improve the educational programs at Bishop Union High School.  During this past school year the Foundation donated close to $60,000 to the High School for the upgrading of classroom technology. Additional purchases included a classroom performance system, a photographic printer, computer lab software, Native American books for the school, and a much-needed outdoor year-round drinking fountain.

So come on out and have a delicious dinner and great fun with your friends and neighbors, and lend your support to help enhance local educational opportunities while you're at it!  Tickets for this not-to-be-missed event are $30 each and are available at Bishop Union High School, Mountain High Video, KIBS/KBOV radio station, Hidden Creeks Ranch, or from any Foundation Board Member.
